Dear Partners, we are proud and pleased to announce that all the bonus trips within the Loyalty Program 2015 were held to the full extent!
It is important to remember that in order to strengthen and develop business relationships the DEFA Company conducted a nationwide Loyalty Program 2015 among its customers: “Partnership with the DEFA leads to success”, which was attended by more than 150 partners from all over the country.
DEFA company aims at building long-term mutually beneficial cooperation with the companies developing fish diets in Russia. Not only do we supply and sell the fish, we are the strategic partner of each client in the configuration of their product portfolio.
We have tried to sincerely thank our partners today for mutual growth and sales support in 2015, providing an opportunity to visit the most interesting destinations with business and tourist and entertainment purposes.
Ten representatives of the winner companies of the second grade, were awarded prize trips from 7th to 11th of June. They won trips on board of a sea cruise ferry Princess Anastasia through the Baltic capitals: Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallinn. A conference with the discussion of the market situation and DEFA development in the market was held as part of the trip. The program was also rich in excursions in the Baltic capitals, which allowed the participants to enjoy the historical heritage of Scandinavia, while the entertaining program on the ferry helped to strengthen friendly relations.
Thirteen winners of the third grade went to St. Petersburg - the hometown of DEFA company in order to get acquainted with the company and the attractions of the Northern capital from 7th to 10th of July.
The conference was held at the Ibis hotel. The partners had a chance to take a look at the presentation about the company and its place on the Russian fish market after lunch in one of the panoramic restaurants of St. Petersburg. Open communication with the President of DEFA was particularly valuable for the partners.
Guests also took a tour of Peterhof with a memorable historical program.
The guests were offered some free time for independent exploring, shopping and some rest on their return to St. Petersburg. The guests and members of the DEFA team went to a restaurant for casual communication in the evening.
Three winners of the first grade became the owners of the main program prize – a trip to the Faroe Islands with a unique business program from 25th to 28th of July.
The Faroe Islands are located in the Atlantic ocean between Scotland, Iceland and Norway being a self-governed part of Denmark.
The active fish supply from the Faroe Islands began in 2014 in connection with the embargo of the USA, Canada and EU countries, including Norway.
The Faroe Islands have a unique location in relation to salmon farming and pelagic species - the Islands are situated in the heart of the warm Gulf stream with a fairly mild climate and the boundaries between the seasons are blurred.
The nature of the Faroe Islands is terrific: canyons, lakes, numerous waterfalls, fjords, graceful rocks, which are fascinating at first sight. Due to the strong winds and rocky expanses, the area is covered with treeless fields and undulating landscapes.
But the most important part of the program was paying visits to the partner factories. The delegation from Russia visited the salmon farm of one of Defa’s key suppliers - Marine Harvest, in order to explore the cages, where the cultivation of aquaculture and fish intake take place.
The opportunity to explore the cages has allowed our clients to see the salmon in their natural habitat, to assess the conditions and space for growing the fish chosen by DEFA and also to verify their desire to continue purchasing the product and delivering top quality Faroese salmon, recognized as such worldwide, to their regions.
The delegation could witness the process of cultivating aquaculture of first, second and third cycles.
Furthermore, another regular supplier of the DEFA company, Bakkafrost, has organized a tour of their factory together with an excursion around the facility.
The delegation observed the process of making the finished product: first the eviscerated fish goes straight to the production line, then fish is being scaled and the fillet is separated from the skin, after that the scaled fish undergoes the process of filleting. Finally, the processed fillet is being cut and packed.
The delegation could not ignore Pelagic Culture as well.
Our key partner on the pelagic species Pelagos gave a presentation about the company and showed its own production facilities. The production is suspended throughout July as a precaution measure, in order to get prepared for an active season. Despite this, the partners from Pelagos gave us a tour showing the production lines of the factory, describing all of their features.
The business program was combined with some casual activities: sightseeing boat trips and motor-boat (on a powerful 600 HP motor-boat) trips in order to explore the beauty of the local nature.
Every evening ended up with friendly interaction between the clients, the DEFA employees and partner factories representatives at some fine dining restaurants.
Every Loyalty Program trip had its own unique direction: Scandinavia with the cultural and entertainment purposes, St. Petersburg aimed at meeting DEFA's hometown, the Faroe Islands with the business objectives and increasing competitiveness in the aquaculture and pelagic fishing.
The DEFA nationwide Loyalty Program - is the first and most important experience in the industry, a new level of building long-term relationships with our dear Partners across the country.
We intend to continue working in this direction. Follow the news of the Company and feel free to participate!
DEFA makes events on the market and keeps its promises!
